Been a year since I bought my first T set.
I moved not long after that -- and moving is always an exhausting process. Trains takes a back seat. I've also concluded that I really need to finish up several N scale article projects that I had been working for quite a while. Doing this will serve two purposes: it will help me get these out of the way, and it will give me some funds for doing some big things in T.
At to the latter- I have not been motionless in T. My son and I have been doing some layout planning. We want to do a pretty cool layout - but it's just in the planning stage right now.
So I'm still not sure when I'll be moving forward in T. It might still be a while. I doubt I have any readers yet. But I'll be documenting the move when things start happening.

The Germination- Heresy
Like a few others before me, I'm a pretty well-known modeler that is moving toward T Gauge.
My name is Ron Bearden and I've published about 100 articles over the last 25 years in the scale of N. Most of my publishing has been with N-Scale Magazine-- and I'll continue to work with them. I'm not leaving N. I love N scale.
But there is a certain attraction to T Gauge.
At present, I own nothing in T. But I've been thinking about it for a long time. And now that Eishindo has come out with the second generation locomotive chassis, I think the time might be right for me to jump in.
Even though Ron Bearden moving to T may seem like heresy to some. But I'm interested, and we'll see how it goes.
This blog will be a place for some thoughts and ideas to make public. I'm sure things will go slow for a while. So if you are reading this, don't look for much until the Fall of 2010. Unfortunately, I'm moving in a few weeks and starting a new job- and that will slow my time for hobby exploration down.
So for now, just know this: T, I'm on the way.
